AMY!!!! Here ya go!!!!!

Hi Scout! :D

Hardy, do you have pictures? Oh, would it fit a '99?

kg4kpg 04-13-2007 07:34 PM

It will fit.

skeeter 04-13-2007 07:53 PM

What do you mean no front windows? do you mean door windows?
Any hardware with it?
What all would we need to get and where would the best place be to get it to use this on AMy's Jeep?
She's got the hardtop right now, she has nothing for a soft top.

hardy1531 04-13-2007 09:34 PM

Yes I mean the door windows. You would need all the hardware. this is just the fabric. The back window zipper was busted so i replaced the whole top. It could be fixed if you had the time and energy. (i have neither) It does not have the front door windows b/c the factory ones are sewn on and I had to cut them to remove. This would be a great top for someone wanting and new top but didn't need windows or for a trail rig to keep the sun and rain off. As far as pics go, I don't have any of the one I am selling but I have one that I replaced mine with. (so you can see the color) The side windows are clear not tinted. I replaced it with a RAT from Best-top. I will try and get a couple of pics this week.

Hey guys, let me know if anyone comes across more soft tops or even a black hard top. The one that came with mine leaks on the passenger side. Had to cover it with a tarp the 2nd night I had it. My jeep is a bit of a fixer upper. =(

skeeter 04-16-2007 02:54 PM

I beleive this one is still for sale and is a good price.
We've been discussing it but it's not the color Amy wants and finding the missing parts makes it less attractive to us. if you want it buy it.

BTW, there's no shame in having a fixer upper, especailly here these guys love to talk about fixering uppering, you should see my Heep.;)

Gina 04-16-2007 03:07 PM

well what all is missing for it? I dont know too much at all when it comes to the soft tops and what I need for them. Im very new to the whole jeep community. so any help would be grreat. I have a 97 sport. 4.0(not that it matters) and there's quite a few things I need to fix on it. first of all, I need it to start running again. blah that. just got it wednesday. Im looking for a black soft top, the one I have right now is tan and I eventually want my jeep to be black and red. The tan throws it off.. and whats the difference between a super top and a sail top?

erickpl 04-16-2007 03:34 PM

Your basic soft top setup includes:

- Frame hardware
- front bow with 2 attachment 'hinges'
- rear bow with 2 attachment 'hinges' on end
- header with clamps
- Soft top itself
- Soft upper doors - usually a metal frame with a fabric skin
- Rear side windows - available in clear or tinted color
- Rear window

Most Replace a tops will have the fabric parts only. You can usually find them on the Bay priced reasonably.

There is a guy on JF selling his Bestop halftop for $200.00. And THAT is a steal. It won't use any of the soft top frame/bows either. This may be a good option until you find a good soft top setup. This has a bikini top, a windjammer/window that wraps around and uses the soft top door surrounds, and a duster over the rear area of the Jeep.

Here is what it looks like installed on a TJ.

jherrin215 04-17-2007 03:18 AM

Chickdey 04-17-2007 03:57 PM

Has this been sold yet? I have a 99 wrangler and my top is falling apart - need something to keep the rain off my seats. :)

hardy1531 04-18-2007 01:09 PM

Top is still for sale. Gina asked first, then jherrin215 then you so if the others back out I will let you know.

Gina 04-18-2007 09:23 PM

well hardy, thanks for giving me first dibs on it. I do like it, I would just need to get the back window and the front windows. JJ is explaining to me right now that I would need certain stuff for it. then again, that half top at middle of this thread is pretty neat also. What do you think is a good price to get a whole new set up for my jeep. soft top, front and back tinted windows??

hardy1531 04-19-2007 09:56 AM

Gina, I think you could buy a whole new soft top (hardware and all) for about $750.00 and up. you may be able to find one cheaper, I am just guessing......

Gina 04-19-2007 04:03 PM

well I think that my hardware is still good, just need new plastic bc my windows are scratched. Remember it is 10 yrs old. It just leaks at the front and in the back by the window. wear and tear Im sure is what caused it to get like that. I saw some nice replacement tops for like 260 and then window kits for like 150 which I guess is good. I dunno. I just want my "Ruby" to look pretty!

hardy1531 04-21-2007 10:31 PM

jherrin215, you still interested? Pm me.
