Can the back seats be altered to recline?

I have a 2009 Jeep Wrangler 4 door and the wife complained about the back seats being so straight with no recline. I never rode in the back so I let her drive and found the back seats to be to upright. Is there a mod that can at least make the seat back recline at a better angle?

washers

Try a search, anyway I've seen threads where they put some washers (stack of three or four) under the front mounting brackets to give the seat some backward angle.

Sounds like an easy fix. Probably be a good idea to replace with longer bolts as well just to be safe.

My wife sits in the back when I chauffeur her around town. She even makes me wear a little drivers cap.

Note that I made a typo on the length of one of the spacers and corrected it two posts down:

It makes for good posture lol. Thats how everyone should sit!

But I agree the Jeep bench seat sucks, thus I don't have one! and that is also good because I'm never the one that drives to go somewhere between friends.
