Thats not a horrible price. Go check it out and nit pick everything you can find, then offer $9500.

That engine has just been broke in.. properly maintained it will take you well into the upper 200,000's and beyond.. That is a good price if all checks out on it well.. I wouldn't low ball him that hard but thats just me.. Depending how quick he wants to get rid of it I bet if you want it you could get away with 11k but probably not less..

Low balling is the way to go. Your not out there trying to make friends, your trying to get the best price you can. If he doesn't like your offer he will counter. The worst he can say is no. I always start with an offer near 20% less then asking price. Thats how I lucked out with mine. The seller was asking $4600 and I drove it home for $3000 :)

haha or act like you dont want it...they never let you leave i got an offer on my trade in 2500 for my 98 tj and i said bye...i got the dealer all the way to 6500 but they sold the jeep i wanted...

like someone just said that's just broken in for these engines. i had a YJ that i sold and it had 145000 on it. the TJ i just got has 175k and it's still running strong.
