Rampage soft top installed.

Got my top today on time from Fed Ex. I'm loving it. I got it installed and all with in 1hr. Worked out great. A windshield header was req'd, Which went on without problem.

I'm estimating 1hr, because during the install i also worked on my WJ fixing a vacuum leak. Could have actually taken less time.

I bought it from Allens Offroad. The process was simple. After a few PMs, and a phone call, the next morning it was in process, and i got my receipt emailed to me.

Top is on and i'm loving it! Tinted windows and all, give it a whole new look

Here's a photo of the top installed:

Looks sharp. How well do those half-doors seal?

Looks Great!! I just got a new Bestop in. Still have the hard top on, waiting for the weather to warm so I can install new top.

Thanks!

Well the half doors seal a little odd. But i'm hoping they'll be ok. no rain as of yet to tell if they leak

I bought the half door skins few weeks before the top. And the skins just so happen to be smittybuilt. I asked before buying but they weren't sure, so i just bought them, and the zippers have an SB, so im assuming. So the 2 together, don't fit perfect.

The skins seem like the foam seal is really bigger than they need to be. They do seal. But like i said, not sure how they'll do in the rain.

I'm sure i'll find out soon enough.

But overall the top went together great.

Oh that looks so much better: jealous.

I got the same top for x-mas and I like it sooooo much better than the stock one. Maybe because mine was falling apart, but who cares! Once I saw this top I HAD to have it. Installing mine was a b!#ch though. There was maybe a 1 inch gap on both side of the back window but it's been on for a whole week so it should be stretched out (hopefully) by now. haha It really does give it a whole new look.

Can you please post more pics inside and out.

Hey ParaCAD, did you put spacers or something in the back? It seems higher than before to me. I actually didn't really think of that. Mine looks really squatty in the back and I hate it.

Looks great. Glad to be of service. I will forward this info to Rampage. They always like to hear about people's experiences with their products. Kind of sucks about the SB skins though.

Thanks again for your business. I am truly grateful and happy to have helped out.

One thing i'll mention with this top.

I removed all my rollbar padding. Pretty much trashed it. I figured, it was tan so i didn't want it.

But anyone else may want to leave the padding. I think because of this, the little bit of flutter i get when driving down the road, causes the top to smack the metal rollbar, making a flapping noise. A little annoying, but i'm sure i'll get used to it. its not all the time tho..seem more noticeable with the windows down..

just an FYI :D

I have the padding off mine and my Bestop Safari makes that same noise in the summer... But my 97 never had padding on the center hoop anyway.
