Mr. New-B

Whats up all? I am normaly a sports car kinda guy but the wife came up with a great idea of getting a 4x4 and a day later i had decided exactly what i wanted, and a day after that i got my first jeep. 1999 black (I will have pix up soon) eather way i need to get a few ideas before this summer so i can have my ride ready to go.

1. I would like to tear out the intearor and get the seats reapostlerd, and have the interior sprayed with truck bed liner. (? with this is anyone out there have any incite of things i should watch for when i do this)

2. I need to get a lift and a set of tires and rims i am looking at 33 12.50 r15's (the ? with this is how much of a lift do i need for something like that and where i should get my kit)

Thanks for all the help in advance :D
Adam

PS. also i live in winchester va (northern va) is there any good off road places around i can go?

PSS. feel free to make fun of my spelling i just learned yesterday:confused:

Welcome to Wrangler Forum! I'm about 25 mins away from you in Purcellville. I know the biggest tire you can fit on stock height is 31 and I /think/ you can fit 33's on 2.5" of lift provided you have proper back spacing. I'm actually considering doing a lift and 33's soon too. Another thing you want to consider is what engine you have. The 4.0 will turn tires easier than the 2.5. Also gearing is important. Find out what gear ratio your diffs are.

Also don't forget to wave!

I have never been, but im going in a few weeks and its an 18 mile ride. Its nothing crazy but hell of a lot better then some backroads. lol
And its free so I don't complain much.

Where is that? Is it noob/stocker friendly? I've been wanting to go somewhere but GWNF is 2 hours away and I don't have anyone to go with yet. Hopefully some of my friends get decent vehicles soon. Also the only thing to do around here is mud which I'm not really a fan of the clean up.

Its up next to cumberland maryland. Google it an it will come up. There is another jeeper on here that goes there quite often. If you wanna go sometime shoot me a pm.

Would that be me YJ? Greenridge although not to difficult it has some challenge. There is mud, and there are areas of rock. Depends on the jeep and driver. I was just there yesterday with a club we here in western md. we are forming. We also ran into a club (10 vehicles) from the D.C area that say they come up every year.

Rausch Creek it is not, but it's still fun and that's what matters.

And the original poster, your not far from Greenridge. Coming towards Cumberland it's off the 51. And if you wanna meet up with us let me know.

Alright man, Ill check em out.
How many people are there in the jeep club so far?

HebrewHammer 01-03-2011 05:54 AM

Sounds like fun

I think im gonna have to take a trip up there (Green Ridge that is) anyone going let me know if ya wanna meet up.

InvertChaos 01-03-2011 04:31 PM

There is also the NOVA jeepers club but it is predominantly eastern (eg. Manassas) jeepers.

94YJGUY 01-03-2011 05:53 PM

YJ - 2 jeeps so far, but were gonna let whoever go wheeling with us. Were not charging anything and were having decals mocked up right now.

I'm not sure what's going on for another run, apparently Greenridge is not worthy enough so we'll see. I am planning on a rausch creek thing eventually.

YJjeep 01-03-2011 06:04 PM

I would like to get into a jeep group.
Maybe you can pm me some time on how I can get involved with it.
And if you guys get some group stickers let me know how much an all and If I get involved ill slap some on my rig.

94YJGUY 01-03-2011 06:19 PM

Just add yourself to the facebook page I told you. That pretty puts you in man. That and obviously show up for trail rides.

Were working out the details for small decals and maybe some windshield decals. Its easier to follow the group there than here.

YJjeep 01-03-2011 06:23 PM

Alright sounds good.
Sorry for bothering ya. lol
Take care. :wavey:

94YJGUY 01-03-2011 06:27 PM

Not at all bro

HebrewHammer 01-20-2011 10:11 AM

anyone know about the Green Ridge trip?

HebrewHammer 01-20-2011 10:11 AM

also anyone have some pix of the area so i can see what i am getting in to

YJjeep 01-20-2011 05:36 PM

I think I might try heading up there next month. I was going to try for the end of this month but my 4 wheel drive went out in the rig so that is being fixed right now. :/
