So I had a 97 4cyl, but quickly found that most of the mods I wanted to do were not recommended.
So, I sold it and started searching for a Rubicon. This week I finally found one, and think I got a good deal (90k, excellent condition for $14k...good??) It is an 06 Rubicon, automatic, full doors, and I can't find rust anywhere (plus it's undercoated!!). The carfax showed one owner who did all the maintenance and lived only about a half hour from me. (btw, if the previous owner is on here I'd love to hear from you)
I'm not planning anything extreme, but was thinking of going to 33x12.5 with maybe 3-4" lift. There is a TON of info on this site and I didn't see a thread addressing Rubicon lift/tire combination but please point me to one if there is. Any ideas or suggestions? :D

Remember this, people will always tell you you paid too much but if you love your ride then thats not the case. Congrats to you, I just got my first so I know how you feel.

Looks great. I just bought a Black 04 Rubicon a few weeks ago and I love it. Good luck with your purchase.

Congrats on the purchase. Not a bad deal at all. I just bought a 04 stone white rubicon with 50k miles on it for $14k from a private seller. U got yours from a retail dealer for less than the "good condition" private party seller KBB value. Have fun making it yours.
