BDS 2" or Rough County 2.5" suspension lift

Im just checking to see what everybody would think would be better for me. This is my first Jeep and Im looking to get a suspension Lift.

Im not looking to offroad this jeep at all, its 98% road driven with the occasional going through a field and such. Its a 4.0L 5 speed manual with 123K miles on it. I dont want to put a bunch of money redoing a bunch of stuff with it and want it to drive as normal as possible. Ive been told to stay with 2" or less and It would accomplish what I want the jeep to do.

I was sold on the 2" BDS suspension lift that I can get installed for 615.00. I came across a deal where I can get the 2.5" Rough Country Suspension lift for 500 installed.

Im looking to put 33" tires on it eventually, right now I have 31".

Does anybody have any input on the 2 of these and which would be better for what Im looking to do?

Thank you

that sounds cheap installed.... are you looking for spacer lift or new coil springs?

Its the Rough county 2.5" lift which includes Front and rear progressive coil springs, transfer case spacers to maintain factory driveshaft angles, and front and rear Performance 2.2 shocks for 500, brand new installed.

Ive heard some people say RC did great for them, and some people who have had alot of problems. Id go with the BDS. better workmanship on the parts pretty much. alot of people have had trouble with rust and the lift breaking down/ sagging and much more with rough country. I understand your dilema but its price over quality. which do you need more? if you have the extra money, spend it. youll be happier.

Of the two, BDS is better. The BDS shocks and springs are better quality and ride better. I was pretty much the same situation. Mine is a DD with some occasional off road. I wanted to do it right and have a good ride. I considered the RC but it was hit and miss in a lot of threads so I went with the BDS. You won't find anything bad about BDS. You can get the BDS for under 400.00 and if you have any tool and are semi capable, installation of a basic lift is very easy.

x2, I run the BDS 2" suspension lift and I am very happy with it's performance both on and off road. IMO it rides better than a stock ride :).

Flexes nicely...

Another vote for BDS...

Christmas present for my 17 year old daughter... even installed it herself ;)

Very nice ride, somewhat firmer than stock but still very smooth with a lot less body roll while turning.
