JK Compact Subwoofer

Has anyone added a subwoofer to their Jeep? Specifically a compact sub as there is little space in my 2 door JK. Any creative ideas as to where you can fit one? Appreciate the help

I'm considering this one:

Sound Ordnance™ B-8PT 120-watt compact powered subwoofer at Crutchfield.com

I could fit it under my driver's seat, however that would reduce the legroom for the rear passenger. I would probably place it to the side in the trunk as it fits snug there

I see a lot of factory ones for sale, don't know if that is what you want,
See them for 50 to 75 dollars

I used an 8" bazooka tube straped to either the baby tie downs if the rear seat is installed or the rear seat latch if it is out. The bazooka speaker is crap so I ordered a decent speaker. It hides pretty well below the windows but it still takes up half of the space behind the seat which isn't saying much.

I was considering the bazooka tube but like you said i feel it takes up too much space. The sound quality is awesome though right? The Sound Ordinance Sub actually fits perfectly under the seat so I think I'll install that one soon

Sub

Infinity Basslink is a decent option (powered 10" subwoofer). It runs anywhere from $200 to 300 on the internet. You will lose a little cargo space in the back, but still serviceable.

If you have a separate amp you can make a small box and put it in the rear cargo area. If not, the Infinity Basslink is a good choice. The Sound Ordinance has less power and a smaller woofer so the sound won't be as good. Here is a pic of the box with 12" sub I made for my 2 door JK
