you made that? How much did it cost you? how much would you charge to make one?

Peepers 01-21-2011 10:07 AM

Not me, but my father made These: (I helped with the design)

Front bumper modeled after ?body armor? bumper. which plate home made too
Rear bumper, same w/ custom tire carrier
Light bar

Modified a aftermarket Rock Hard bar into a spare tire and high lift jack mount. The one that goes above the rear passengers heads.
No blind spot, no extra weight on tailgate, easy access to jack when stuck in deep water.
I am currently using a bestop half top.
( I am old and can't figure out how to post pics!) :)

Made light bar extensions to make way for winch mount and winch. Made out of 4x6" steel i believe that was cut down the center and then cut on an angle and drilled to mount in factory bumper bolt holes.. After on left and before on right.

Here are the swaybar disconnects that I made today. Just need to add spacers to the top bolt the keep the rod end from sliding around (having a hard time finding something locally)

That's cool, I need to do something like that is it waterproof? What material is that?

chasingdreams 01-23-2011 01:39 PM

It's made from 3/4" cabinet grade plywood and the finish is spray-on bedliner. I also installed a piece of aluminum angle underneath from side to side to keep it from bowing over a period of time. Just be sure to router all the edges so that they are rounded. That will keep any "chip damage" to a minimum.
