Fender replacement??

I really need to replace the passenger side fender on my 99 Wrangler (thanks to the great service at autozone). I am trying to find a good replacement fender. I have looked at the OEM fender and I just can't afford to pay $800 for it, then the price to have it painted. I have seen a few on sites like 4wd.com and quadratec, but have I yet to see any reviews on the actual quality of the cheaper replacements. Any help from someone who has gotten one would be very much apperciated. Also I'm looking for the best way to possibly paint the fender flares, or what to use to fix them. I figure I'm gonna have one off anyway might as well try to make them look a little better.

Got a set from a distributor that deals with the body shop I work at. $111 each. Made in China, but were fine. Can't tell after paint. Sad thing is, these will definitely outlast the stock ones...Jeep/Chrysler didn't fill every crevice with primer and paint like I had done at the shop. 2 coats of base and 4 coats of clear coat...That's every INCH of the fender outer and inner paneling. Carquest used to be able to get body panels at decent prices. The key is to inspect for dents, bends, blemishes that occur in shipping, or poor welds in the sheet metal itself. If you get a fender, and it isn't up to par...send it back for another. Have done this several times with doors, hoods, deck lids, etc....The new "cheap" fenders on my wife's 1997 will outlast the jeep....

I went there to have them replace the battery, and the IDIOT placed the old battery on fender. Which cause battery acid to be spilled on my fender and caused it to rust through.

Just curius, but was your battery leaking? they should be sealed pretty damn well, unless he laid the battery on its side (it wouldn't supprise me). I know of no reason it should have leaked and rusted your fender out so quickly.

I can't really remember how he sat it on there, but I showed my uncle and funny spot that showed up on the paint within a few weeks and that's what he said it was. This guy seeemed to be a compete moron it took him almost an hour to remove the old one and install the new one (i've never done it but I'm sure it wouldn't have taken me that long.) I'm not joking it took less than 2 months and the paint had completely bubbled up and in less than 1 and a half years you can see through the 3 inch hole it has made. I don't think water could have done it becuse my car is kept under a carport all spring and summer because I take the top down the first chance I get and don't put it back up till cold weather comes.
