Heater fan kicking on 1 min after turning off 2010 Jeep Wrangler!?!

Anyone ever hear of this strange thing happening? After I turn off my 2010 Jeep Wrangler, the heater fan kicks on after about 80 seconds. I have tried many different scenarios and it happens in all of them.

Teeny bit of history: The Jeep was bought this summer, new. Just recently, my battery was dead 3 different times during 2 weeks. I have had to get jumps and charge it. Very odd. Took it to the dealership and they found a short from the radio amp draining the battery. That has been replaced.

Now... I just noticed the new fan thing going on. (It may have been there before, but because I am now paranoid about the battery drainging, I picked up on it.)

Let me give you a scenario: I drive into work with; lights on, radio on, heater on. Pull in and park, turn off the head lights, and turn off the key and pull it out. Everything goes off except the radio. (Now mind you, the fan dial is turned out, but that shouldn't matter.) The radio "times out" and turns off after 40 seconds. So now EVERYTHING is off and I am just sitting in the Jeep... At 120 seconds, the heater fan kicks on and start blowing!

I have changed up all the scenarios as far as radio on or off, heater fan on legs, legs and defrost, defrost, etc... and the same thing still happens.

Also, if you are in the Jeep when it kicks back on, you can basically use the dials and change the fan speed and/or if you want defrost, etc., and it keeps going.

So, obviously, this is a huge drain on the battery.

Again, i don't know if this was the case before they found the radio short. This may have been the problem all along, who knows. But it is there now.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

The radiator fan turning on, yes. The heater fan. No. Bring it in.

Do you mean air actually blows into the cabin? As if the heater was still on?

That is definitely not right. I hear the radiator fan "whirring" briefly for a little while after I turn off the Jeep just about everytime, but it doesn't blow air into the cabin (obviously).

Yep, unfortunately, that is what I mean... Blowing air into the cabin. I wish I would have know if this was going on BEFORE they replaced the radio app short, or after...

Well thanks guys, I just wanted to check first to see if this was a "known issue" of some sort. I hate taking her in for electrical problems - they take a long time, understandibly. I guess it is a process of elimination to find out what the issue is.
