Lockers

How are ox lockers are they pretty good or just stick with the ARB

What do you mean stick w/ ARB's do you already have them ? If not I love my ARB's I have them F&R for a few years now w/o any problems at all and would go w/ them again,

Well yea I got the front for my b-day i haven't got it installed yet but I was told ox are really good and I should go with them so I just wanted to get some opinions on both

Well I have never had the OX, but I herd that the sometimes have cable issues. Also the levers look kind of big to me, and if you later add a rear locker you need room for two of these levers, ARB's are just swicthes. I guess you can tell I am partial to the ARB's, do some searches and see what other think

Go with ARB. I have an OX in the rear and have had nothing but problems with the cable. The locker itself works fine, but routing the cable to the rear axle is a huge PITA. If I were to do it over again, I'd get an ARB.

i have an ox locker in my rear diff, and had no trouble at all 15k miles and it works just fine.

How much lift and what axle? No matter how I route mine I can't keep it away from the exhaust and still keep the bends gentle enough for it to work.

2010 JK 4 door with 3 inch tera flex lift. where did you route the cable. mine runs up beside the drive shaft and lever is mounted next to the E-brake lever right next to the drivers seat.

The extra wheelbase is probably helping. It worked fine in my xj, but I've melted 3 cables on the Tj. If I route it far enough away from the exhaust to survive, the bends are too tight and it doesn't shift right. I read about a guy doing an electric conversion using a 4wd actuator, so I may have to try that. The locker is great when it works, but man I have bad luck with the cables.

ox makes an electrical actuator

Yeah, but it's almost $200 and still uses a cable. I wish they stuck with their prototype diff cover w/ built in electronic acutator. That thing was sweet.
