natural green with a black grille?

anyone have one, i see a lot of other jeeps with it never seen on the natural green JK and was curious to see what it looked like before i painted my own:rolleyes: (was going to post in pic section but figure this would be easier)

I've seen a military green one with a black grille in the TJ section. Not quite what you needed, but might give you a basic idea if nothing else appears.

Also don't underestimate the value of Microsoft Paint. ;)

sinduda216 01-28-2011 08:39 PM

i just want to know if it looks good, i dont have anyone near me that i know or at least on a friendly basis to ask if i can swamp out the grille for a second to see what it would look like

myjeepandmydog 01-28-2011 09:02 PM

I think the black would look good on your jeep. I have seen that here on a mango tango Jeep and honestly I thought it looked odd. But for the Natural green like we have it would almost just look black from the front but be green. Sounds like a good plan to me! IF you do it post pics I may follow suit

i know most people always confuse the natural green for black when the light isn't that great. i think it would look good also but still want to see it before i go ahead and ruin mine if i dont like like it:banghead:

I think that a black grill would look great on a green jeep. Just saying have u ever thought of chrome. Try it you might like it. Like they say once u go black u can't go back. So be careful before u try a black one. But some say the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice. I think it's my bed time. Goodnite.

Seriously, WEIRDEST guy ever.

All I'm saying KSC is that I wanna see some pics of that tan and chrome monstrosity you got coming, and that thing better be OOZING chrome from every corner or I'm calling bullish*t! :D

KSCRUDE 01-28-2011 09:27 PM

You know in the last few years some of the black ones are really starting to look hot to me. Maybe you should go ahead and try a black one just one time. They say it will change your luck if you go black. He'll forget the chrome, I think I Need a cute black one myself!

sinduda216 01-28-2011 09:31 PM

sorry but there will be little to no chrome on my ride

seadog 01-28-2011 09:32 PM

PM me a pic of the front of your Jeep and I'll have it photoshopped. My daughter convinced me not to do mine, but I'm Mango and it was too much.

sinduda216 01-28-2011 09:37 PM

photoshop...great idea, im going to have to wait until tomorrow and get a good one, i'll do my best with the weather and lighting. Thanks look forward to it, i was thinking the flat black look or gloss i dont know, probably flat though.

Don't call it yet as it will have every chrome package they have to offer which is two. Which I think is 7 different items. I just can't remember with out looking. Will look better then a naked black grill in the Kansas moonlite! And I think the jeep will have seven slots.

Just read through the thread and was about to ask if you'd go with a flat or glossy black. I'd definitely go with the flat black. I think it would look great, but I would photoshop it first to see.

What other black accessories do you have on your Jeep if any? For instance, fuel door, light guards, etc

sinduda216 01-28-2011 10:36 PM

actually, good point i do have a locking flat black gas cap cover and black euro light covers, the rest of the jeep is pretty stock on the outside, so it probably wont look that bad after all

waiting til next month or after a big road trip in march, then start putting some serious money into the rig. just trying to make it different from the others in the near by area. I want it to be MY JEEP, not just another wrangler.

I still would like to photoshop it to see, or get a actual photo of someone's or after the photo shop, if i like maybe just maybe i might be the first Natural Green JK with a flat black grille, ...nice:cool:

It should look awesome. And it will be unique for sure. Post up some pics when you can. :thumb:

MTH 01-28-2011 11:13 PM

FYI, there are some threads floating around about how to bedline your grille. They may be helpful to you, if you haven't reviewed them already.

Here's one: (http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/my-...con-68125.html)

Please post the pic when you get a chance--my brother's thinking about doing the same to his natural green TJ, so it'd give him a good example! :)

seadog 02-01-2011 04:16 PM

Could have been the lighting, but it was really hard to tell the difference. Then again, if he used bed liner with a texture, it might stand out differently.

All I know is, it is fugly on my Mango Sahara. Maybe if i had black fenders...

d3digit 02-01-2011 09:19 PM

here is my photoshop version, the lighting makes it a lit difficult to see the different

sinduda216 02-01-2011 09:52 PM

myjeepandmydog 02-02-2011 06:11 AM

I think that looks pretty sweet. Can't decide which one id like better though. Bedliner does look pretty unique.

d3digit 02-02-2011 07:17 PM

sinduda216 02-03-2011 09:52 AM
