Thanks guys!

Winch, aftermarket bumpers, rock sliders, mud tires and a billion other small accessories. I hope dad has a deep wallet.

He's willing to put a good 7k into the exterior/interior needs to start out with, the rest is up to me.

 Well, your set then. There's a lot you can do with 7K. Seat covers are another suggestion.

Grats when you get the jeep . Nice to have parents that can afford to buy you a jeep. Most I can hope for when I'm a parent it to give my.kids what they want . Tell them thanks everytime you drive it and it'll be a well earned jeep!

Just a little heads up when looking for a Jeep TJ if that is the route you go, Do yourself a favor and get one with a Dana 44 rear axle at least.. The more common rear axle the Dana 35 is bad news when it comes to offroading..

Welcome to the forum, and good luck finding your Jeep. Just make sure to hold out for the 'right one'. Having your first is always a big decision, and its one that you both must make together. The Jeep will choose you, and you'll know it. Just make sure to get some protection so she won't lose her gorgeous figure.

As for the D35, don't worry too much about it. if you only want to lift 3", you can run 32's without incident.

wait a minute 7k for the jeep total? or 7k after he buys it? If it's after he buys it than that is a great sum of money to work with. You should get a lift, tires, rhino line the tub, winch, lockers... a lot can be done with that much. I wish my parents would give me 7k to put into my jeep lol. Good luck!

7k after i buy it, 7k could barely get me a jeep..i can hardly find one around here for less than 10k! it's rediculous!

I had the same problem lol. I was lucky when I found my 04 sport this summer and talked the guy down from $13500 to $11000 lol. Definitely post up some pics of your progress once you get it. Might i suggest ARB air lockers after you get a lift, tires, wheels, armor, and a winch?

wow...lucky, cant wait to see what u come out with

yjkid95 02-23-2011 01:13 PM

Jeesh I busted my butt just to get my 3000 dollar yj and everything I have into it. My parents didnt and wont give me a single dime. But atleast you seem to really appreciate what they are doing for you. Good luck with the jeep. And 7 grand will get you just about everything youll want. A quality 3 inch lift, tires, wheels, and after you up the size of your tires to what ever you desire (my guess is 33's) I suggest you get it regeared appropriatly. That way you wont lose any power. And do yourself a favor get a 4.0 with a Dana 44 rear in it already.
