if you havent seen one in person i would advise you to. its a big fin light!! lol but some people like that 7" might not sound like a lot. i have the hella 500ffs on my windshield and they are perfect size. :)

haha you have a lot of lights! and yeah i see what you mean. plus the 500ff is like 10-20 bucks cheaper than the 700ff. whered u get your windshield bracket from?

TJe0454 01-31-2011 09:58 AM

btw how do you like the light output and beam of those?

TJe0454 01-31-2011 10:04 AM

and another question for the lighting experts. anyone heard or used "Hella High Performance 7" Halogen HB2 Conversion Headlamp". im looking at them online for 40 bucks each that includes a bulb as well. advice?

SurfNaked2010 01-31-2011 11:26 AM

Light output is great I upgraded the bulbs to piaa 100w bulbs but the pattern is great. And the mounting bracket I have is actually a 2 in 1 its a windshield light .mount and mirror mover in one. The mirrors and lights mount to the same bracket. I think its from warrior products and I got em from quadratec

p

They don't stick out far at all there in a perfect spot in my opinion there like tucked close to windshield cause of the mount and they don't stuck out the side of the body. Ur gunna like the 500ffs awesome lights for a great price

I love the all black look and WHEN you do tint do 15% all the way around and 50% on the WINDSHIELD it makes it! Lol **** laws lol if I pinpointed everything that's illegal on my jeep I would have probably 9 tickets and imounded jersey lift laws are terrible but it pays to know people who do inspection and the sticker actually scans to my VIN :)

That would be GREAT! but im in Texas

ReconBubba6 02-01-2011 12:51 PM

Could you switch the bulb on any light pretty much?
I like the look of the Hella Black magic fog lights, but I was lookin for a 130w like the KC has. And for that matter, would I be able to do an HID conversion in the fog lights w/o breaking the bank and buying an HID fog light kit?

I recently put the KC 7" H4 Conversion headlamps on my TJ. $95 for the pair, but they do have a 23 year warranty!! Hard to beat KC's warranty. They are 100x better than the stock headlamps. I've always been a KC and PIAA fan. Not so much with Hella, but I don't doubt they will be better than stock, if that's the brand you want.

yeah i was looking at the KC ones too. just got off the phone with a guy from quadratec who said that people have been complaining about the plastic scratching too easily. he also had run the hella visions in his cherokee and loved them. long story short, my hella vision plus h4 kit will be here tomorrow, amazon with 1 day shipping totalled $82 :)

TJe0454 02-03-2011 09:33 AM

the difference between the sylvania silverstar sealed beams and the hella vision plus conversion is un-freakin-believable. ill try to take some pix of the light later. and my hella 500ff's are beautiful as well. next step is to install my cobra75 tomorrow.
