looking for Jeep repair in Western suburbs

Hi, I am new to the forum and have a 2002 Sport. I need quite a few little things done that I cannot do. Does anyone know a good place to have the work done.
I am talking from small welding jobs to brake rotor work. Thanks for any advice.

He's not in the near west suburbs, but the only response I've ever gotten to same question is:

Tony @ VPS Vehicle Performance Solutions
847-458-6044

I think he's more up Arlington Heights way. Never used him but he seems highly recommended

Western suburbs of WHERE? Boston, Mass? Buffalo, NY? LOL...wear your boots in the western suburbs there...

How far west? Des Plaines, or say Fox Lake? Boston??? even a cheesehead knows that's east of here.....

I'll second calling Tony @ VPS, he is in Lake in the Hills/Algonquin area. He is a one man shop so leave a message is he doesn't answer the phone. He will call back.

Thanks for the tip re Tony @ VPS. I am near Downers Grove so it's a little far.

I've never heard of this Tony fellow. I live in LITH, I may have to look him up.

OK.....I see this guy driving the giant excursion at the bottom of the page all the time. This place is literally across the street from my house.

You can try these guys. I have dealt with the parts guy on many occasions. Nice small USED Jeep dealership/service place. Parts guy a little quirky but still nice.

NOT YOUR TYPICAL CHRYSLER/JEEP DEALER. More of a "Jeepers" nitch type of place.

jdhallissey 02-20-2011 02:28 AM

I am up in wauconda with a shop

Ggg 02-20-2011 03:38 PM

echv57 Exactly what all is wrong with your Jeep?

jdhallissey 02-20-2011 09:20 PM

I agree what is wrong with it.. Really you buy some pizza bring it on over and we can fix it. Then you can learn the ins and outs of it.

I know Tony personally and I can say from experience that his work is top notch. If I was letting anyone else touch my jeep Tony would be one of a select few

echv57 02-27-2011 06:56 PM

thanks for above messages

-brake work
-light body work (dents /rust)
-two small welding jobs
-fog light alignment
-not sure what they are called but just behind the front wheel , the small long things that attach struts to the car are broken

i am sure i can come up with more

Tuffy Auto on North Aurora road (just a couple hundred feet east of Eola road) in Aurora. Jason is the owner. A great guy who despises shops that rip people off. And better yet, his top mechanic is named Brian. Brian grew up in a aftermarket Jeep / 4x4 shop where he learned to work on Jeeps & highly modified 4x4's -- which was once owned by his father and located in Lombard many years ago. Brian knows his stuff but I'm not sure he can help you with body work.

I will have to remember that - Tuffy is literally down the street from me. I'm right near the Rte. 59 Train Station. Thanks for the info. :thumb:
