It mentions that the front can roll back for a sunroof type experience. I was wondering if the whole top can be put down for a topless ride as with the normal soft tops. I've currently got a hard top, but the rain will be stopping soon and it's time to find me a soft top and I like the looks of this one, but if it can't fold down completely, than I don't want it...

The trektops don't have a frame so it won't fold down, but it can be removed for the joy of riding topless. It's a bit more time consuming than folding down a top with a frame.

So what soft top might you, or anyone else, recommend? I want something that will fold down, but I'm also working within a budget and hoping to get a soft top and tube doors for right around $1k.

Bestop makes a Supertop NX that will be introduced soon. That would be my choice. I love the looks of the Trektops, but I like the ease of having a frame. Lots of guys love their trektops tho. It's just a little less convenient... You might look at ebay and CL and see if you can find a take off for a good price.

The new Trektop NX will be out in 3 to 4 months if they don't push the date back. The sides and rear zip out on the new model for a lot more versatility.
