Help please

Hey guys, I'm experiencing a scary clunking noise from the rear end. Only while turning under power. It doesnt do it in neutral. Its a 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sport without the dana 44 ft kit, and 33" tires. I am personally thinking its the driveshaft u-joints, or rear track bar. It really scares me that it might be broken teeth on gears in the differential. Any help or information would be helpful.

My guess would be that your 44 has an lsd in it. And if soo then it means that its ready to be rebuilt. Since the lsd has clutches they wear out. My friend is experiencin pretty much the same thing. And he also gets it when in reverse. Offcourse its possible it had broken teeth but i think the worn out clutches is more common onthe wrangler.

It doesnt have the 44, I believe its the 35. But it meant to say it has a 3 inch tera flex lift kit.

when was the last time you changed your rear fluid? pull the cover and jack the jeep up and spin the rear end.. check to for metal shavings and missing teeth.. maybe a bad bearing.. best thing to do is investigate the area..
