Code reader

What kind of Jeep (Chrysler) code reader do you guys use and where can I get them that is not too expensive. I just thought that it might be handy later.

Just for reading trouble codes or other parameters on your Jeep? If it's just trouble codes use the ignition key method that displays the codes in the odometer window.

X2 or you can go to just about any auto parts store and they will check them for you for free.

X2 but the only reason I purchased it was my 01 kept throwing a clogged cat code and I had to get it through emissions. I managed to clear the code and drive it enough to cycle and pass without dishing out the $ for a new cat. Plus I bought it used off a local guy for $75

Oh, I'm not sure if 2000's have it. You could always try and see what happens.
