Powder Coating Hinges

Hey guys just new to the forum's and had a few questions on powder coating some things on my jeep. Just bought a 2000 Wrangler couple months back and wanted to get some better ideas from people who haved owned jeeps longer than i have :)
Being as in im in Michigan and winters here suck with a crap load of salt and what not, my paint on my hinges has started to chip off a little and i figured that i may be able to just sand blast em and powder coat em so i dont have to worry about any more paint from chipping off. Is this a good idea at all?

If you can ge the powder coating done cheap enough i dont see why not. Or you could always sand them and hit them with some rattle can bedliner. Its pretty durable stuff and easy to touch up.
