I have the worst luck with vehicles

It's getting ridiculous

I began driving in 1997. No problems other than a bad sensor in 2001 on a Cavalier i had.

But starting in 2009, I decided that I'm going to make up for all that.I hit a wild dog on Valentine's day of that year. It took half the front end of my Sentra off, and destroyed my windshield washer tank. Cost me $450 to get it legal and drivable again, $50 short of my deductible..while I was laid off.

Same year, 8 months later. I decide to hydroplane into a highway median in the same vehicle at 70mph. Driver side tire blew. Took the new front end off. Fried the brakes. Destroyed the rim. Leaking coolant. After being stranded from 5am-1pm, in the rain...I paid $500 to Allstate, only to later find out I screwed up something with the car's computer too. $400 to replace it. I didn't, and sold that car for the JK.

Got the JK January of 2010. Been fighting torque converter shudder since. Fall of 2010 a stone broke my windshield...still not replaced.

Last week I blew a tranny line at 65mph. Smoke coming out the vents, trans slipping, the whole 9 yards. Stranded again. Towed it my house. My trans is ok I think, so I got new lines, flushed it, new filter, new fluid. I almost have the JK back together and running (should be today actually) when...

My backup vehicle, an 03 Saturn decides to blow a tire out headed to work today. It's raining, (I only get flats in the dark while raining on freeways) so I limp it off the exit. Then I hear something grinding or dragging. "F*CK!!! WHAT NOW?!" stop. I see nothing dragging. I don't care, I drive another mile to a parking lot and park it. I'll deal with this later. Im hoping it's a stone stuck in the brakes or something dumb. After it takes the girlfriend 1 hour to find me  of course, I'm waiting for the sun so I can get the Jeep done. Then use it to get a tire for the car.

Watch...it won't shift right or something. Maybe it'll leak, or the radiator or something will be f*cked up

You think you have problems? Think your life sucks? Look at this nonsense I have to deal with. That's just the vehicles. As some of u remember I'm sure, I've been mauled by a cat, and delt with a cyst all in the past year

Worst 12 months of my life

You and me both dude...Im not gonna go into detail but I have owned quite a few vehicles since having my license and I have gone through it all as well. I HATE VEHICLE OWNERSHIP!

Btw a rock smashed my JK windshield the other day...left a nice chip about the size of a quarter. Yesterday driving down a bumpy pot hole riddled road I watched it start to crack...ugh!!!! The crack is about 6-8" long now!!

It's been a while since I've seen you on here. I'm really glad to hear that you have survived. You really have been going through some rough situations lately. Hopefully things will start turning around for you. Lord knows you deserve a break.

dude you life is easy. try haveing a herion addict for a son. cheer up you could be in my shoes.

Yeah life can be worse I guess. I just roll with stuff and try not to get upset about it. That goes for everyone. No matter how bad things seem, it could always be worse.

In case anyone reading is curious, those trans lines on JK's run $120 a set! No idea labor costs as I did it myself..but I had to drop an axle to get them connected. Took forever. I did get her flushed afterwards for $125..so you'll be looking at $250 plus labor. A shop could do it quicker than me I bet, but it's got to be a 3-4 hour job for them I'm guessing. If you blow a tranny line and can't do it yourself and the warranty is up, look to spend like $400-700 bucks lol

Yeah I've been kinda busy with work and stuff. I lurk a lot and read stuff, but it seems there's tons of new folks here. They're on top of it with the tech stuff so I haven't been posting much.

I think it's the law of averages at play  I went through such a long stretch of good vehicle luck, it's kinda balancing itself out. Least that's what I keep telling myself lol

I miss playing around here. Hopefully I can make it online more
