Help

Got bored today at work and was messing around on Craigslist, I noticed a guy selling a 4" lift kit for a YJ. So what I need to know is what questions I should be asking the seller. It comes with springs, shocks(rancho rs5000), u-bolts, ect.

Thanks

First ones I'd ask would be how many miles it's been on and how much wheelin its done.

Thanks for the advice, just emailed the seller.

U bolts should always be replaced after being removed from the axle. Once you torque the Ubolts to spec you will distort the threads causing them to weaken in that one spot. They are cheap and plentiful so I would definitely replace them.:)

Thank you for the advice and I will follow it.

don´t buy r5000 shocks. i had them last year and they were rusty only 2-3 month later.
the ride/handling was very good, but the quality is very bad.

Also I wouldn't use used shocks,if the price it's good enough maybe con can get an extra set of new shocks.
and what to ask? why that perosn it is sellin it,for an upgrade?

The guys wants 220 for it.

The seller replyed "rear springs are about 8yrs old. front springs are about 2yrs old. i take it 4wheeling about 12 times a year and thats about all the driving it sees" and I asked him reason for selling and about the shocks.
