Leaf Springs

I put a SOA kit on my 95 YJ. It looks and rides great. I want to get another inch or two and dont want to put shackeles on with the SOA. I still have the stock springs on it. I also have another set of stock springs. Could I take a couple of leafs out of the other stock springs and put in the spring pack with the ones on my jeep. Would it still ride good and give me a couple inches.

Personally if I was to go spring over I'd be getting a set of rubicon express 1.5" lift SOA springs. The eyes are reversed so when you flex you dont go into a negative arch and they supposedly provide a better ride aswell.

Making a bastard pack will work. I would rather just buy an add-a-leaf if the funds allow.

I've seen lift blocks on trucks in SOA configs also (block between axle mount and spring), which would require longer Ubolts.

Thank you guys for the help. If I made a bastard set of leaf springs would it be better to use the longer or the shorter leaf springs.

If you buy the boomerang shackles they work good. They are greasable and not the big shackles you are thinking of. They add about 1" of lift and are more heavy duty than your stock ones. I had cracks in the stock ones that were not visiable till my rig flexed and it came apart.
