largest tire size w/o lift on a tjl

Without a lift what size wheels and tires can I put on?

My co worker has a stock tj with sagging springs and he has 31x10.50 bfg at

31x10.5R15 Is the biggest you can go, but you loose some of your flex clearence I believe.

I have a 1" body lift and I'm going to be doing some body remodeling so I can stuff some 33x10.5R15 or 33x12.5R15 under it.

265/75 x16 rims wont rub with stock height, i believe the biggest you can go though

Mine is stock height and I went with BFG mud terrain tires 31 x 10.5 x 15. It did rub a little when turning the entire way left and right... just barely. I had my dad weld a tab on the end of the bolts where adjustmet can be made. Mine jeep is rusted too much to get any bolts out without breaking them... You can use washers to space it out a little assuming your jeep isn't rusted to crap.

same as everyone else said. 31x10.5x15. just put them on my tj, no lift yet. im running spacers though too.

265/75-16 No lift, they will rub at full turn with factory wheels (barely) if it bothers you you can adjust the steering stops

Hey WVRUBI, I like the look of your buggy.

A local guy has some used Toyo's (265/75-16 class C) that I was thinking of buying and putting them on my 04 Rubi w stock 16" MOAB rims......just like yours.

Is it difficult to adjust the steering stops?

Does your Rubi have a leveling kit on it (it looks like it sits more level than mine does)? If so, what type of leveling kit did you use and how high?

thanks for any input on this.

Or you could have just added a few washers to the steering bump stops. :D
