East Texas Jeep clubs?

I'm just wondering if there is an East Texas Jeep club around Longview or Nacogdoches area. :deadhorse:

Good question I live close to nac myself. It would be nice to know if there was a club around

I'm all for it. I live in Flint (close enough to be Tyler). Used to go to school in Nac. so I visit every now and then. Need to get together and go for a ride

Not truly east texas but almost. Shreveport/bossier city has 2 bayou jeepers and something else, forgot their name. Bayou has a website, check them out.

Have y'all checked out LSJC? They are based out of the dfw area. But the club is state wide. I joined a few months ago. They seem to be a great group to be with. They also do several runs to Gilmer and into Clayton Ok. as well. If y'all get a club going I would be interested. I live between Sherman and Paris tx so not really in deep east tx.

Tball 02-22-2013 10:33 PM

shoot, I say we just make one and see what happens

Tweak 02-22-2013 10:41 PM

DFW-TX4wd is hosting a big event at BMRA (gilmer) next weekend. Going to be tons of fun, I took leave just to make it. I am sure there will be lots of East Texans there.

I just found a small club in Nac. They have a facebook page but it doesn't look like there are too many members. It's call the Unofficial SFA Jeep Club. I'll be checking it out to see what it's like.

Never heard of it, although there are quite a few jeeps rolling around in Nac.

I am pretty sure I saw yours two weeks ago on University. Mine is the red and blue JKU rubi

I'm pretty identifiable :) Got the WAYALIFE banner across the windshield and the roof rack.

I think I drove past you Tuesday too. lol!

I will post in here when we will have a meeting. We usually meet at the sonic on North Street so we can all line up. I thought Sonic was kind of an odd meeting place but it works out pretty good. Everyone that drives by notices all the Jeeps. :punk:

This is the link to the little jeep club. It was started by college students but there are a few of us that are a bit older. They are open to changing the name, it's still pretty new. If anyone in the area is interested make a request to Patrick or Sam to join the page.

That's awesome. I used to go to SFA but transferred. I still have friends there so if I visit I will have to hit y'all up for a meet

Will do. Hopefully I can make it down there fairly soon

Not solely for jeeps, but we have a lot and a lot usually come out. Check out Brazos Valley Off Road Ranch in Bryan.

Also, you can find and link up with a local TX4WD Chapter at Texas Four Wheel Drive Organization.

Y'all should definitely make it official somehow, there's a real lack of anything short of Houston and Dallas. I think it would grow if you got the word out.I joined LSJC, but most everyone is so far away.

I'm over in Jacksonville, I'll subscribe to this thread and hit the Facebook page some time.

I've reached out to a couple of people on this thread about starting an "official" East Texas club. If anyone else has any interest please PM me!

The closest is in Lufkin, but I'm pretty sure it's defunct. Next closest is Dallas, Waco, BCS, or Houston. Nothing in East Texas.
