thank you to all the troops serving!

I am going to Mexico this weekend, will post pics and videos of some fun down there

tjchad 05-25-2007 02:26 PM

Thank you for thanking us! And let me, in turn, thank all the others.

Now, why is it that, being a veteran, I ALWAYS seem to have to work on Veterans Day and Memorial Day?;)

Dare2BSquare 05-25-2007 02:40 PM

Thanks for serving... now get back to work!!!

tiny terror 05-25-2007 03:46 PM

Come on Kat, you started the whole hug a nurse thing, I was expecting to get permission to hug a Marine (or ex-Marine as the case may be :D).

SportsGal501 05-25-2007 04:12 PM

Everyone have a safe and fun Memorial Day...........:D

Keep in your prayers the Soldiers and Marines that are still on the ground in Iraq.

DownandDirty 05-25-2007 04:28 PM

Thanks to all soldiers past and present!!

I'll be mounting up the new shoes for the wifes jeep on Sat., continuing a pool tournament on Sun (which we are in 1st place), and laying out by the pool and drinking on Monday.

Hey Tiny! I think that there are quite a few here on WF that served with the Marines, prolly some in your neighborhood!
(But you could always come to Texas, we'll take good care of ya!):D

at the risk of leaving myself wide open for comment: I'm the "touchy/feely" sort.....meaning I'm a hugger

permission given to everyone: give lots of hugs this weekend.......and every day :D

......go for it, Tiny ;)

Hey now! I got 6 years of service in the Air Force. I was in Desert Storm, too. I need at least a hug for that.

Buster 05-27-2007 03:25 PM

Thank you to all the Vets!!!!

I get to work all weekend :flipoff:

amy 05-27-2007 07:28 PM

I'd gladly give a big hug to our Vets, as well as a huge thank you for serving our country!

ol'bob 05-28-2007 03:37 PM

Thank you

Tiny, as a Marine veteran let me thank you on behalf of the Corps.

BTW - there are no "x" Marines. Some like the term "former". I like the term "veteran". Puts it in the present tense and not the past.

Yep...you can take the man/woman out of the Corps but you can't take the Corps out of them.

Also hugging nurses is a wonderful hobby.

Take care and enjoy the day. I have half an hour to go and I'm off work.

If so...thank ya, thank ya, thank ya.

It was a blessed holiday for us.....Frank's son called from Afghanistan...he is well.

Here's the pics from the parade which resulted in some minor carnage  the orange CJ broke a motor mount and yoke off the rear diff trying to lift his wheels while turning (we all have to show off now and then) ;)

the old timers waited with us to line up....we were in good company!
