So got home last night from the trail at 7pm. i broke something in my rear axle didnt know what until this morning. turns out i gotta replace my ring and pinion for my rear axle. somehow there was a bolt inside the differential cover and it got caught with the ring gear and warped itself into in and pretty much shaved my pinion. on the bright side looks like its a good excuse to upgrade the front and rear to a 4.11 gear ratio :punk:

Not sure what gearing you were running to begin with but you definitely needed something a bit lower. It is always good when you can justify spending money to upgrade. :thumb:

Hopefully, I decided im going to buy 4.56 gear ratio for the front and rear. If i get them both replaced by then and all my u-bolts that hold the axles replaced im still good. I should be able to let you know by the end of the week (sunday) maybe
Monday

Good deal. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Unless it's a 4 popper you more than likely had 3.73 the 4.56 should be great

I have an inline 6 cyl manual. my gear ratio was set to 3.55.
Anyone know how hard it is to change the ring and pinion?
Also I messedd up one of the spider gears and its missing a tooth. unfortunatley i dont have the money to buy a new set so i just need that 1 gear any suggestions?

Make sure you break in those gears before the trip. I just got back for the TRD event with my new 456s and loved them.
