stupid questions (mine)

i need a new rear window. i found someone on craigslist selling a used bestop supertop. it includes a newer style? frame and the three rear windows. first, his tj has full doors, i have half doors, will the top still fit and second, is $200 a pretty good price?

next question is, is removing my half console and putting in a full console with armrest a direct bolt in? it appears to be but i figured i would ask first.

lastly, will 05 unlimited suspension parts, i.e. trailing arms, springs, shocks, etc. fit directly into my 97 TJ?

thanks for any help.

p.s. i hate asking questions but its my first jeep. ugh.

What console are you replacing it with exactly. I may not be able to answer you but I know that the people here can help you better if they know what you're using exactly.

You shouldn't have any issues with the doors.
If it's in good shape and will fit your Jeep, then yes, that is an excellent price.

Can't help you here, never considered it.

Again this is one that I haven't got a clue on. I would use a site like quadratec and compare part numbers for the 2 different models. If they use the same part number then of course they are interchangeable.

We all have to start somewhere.

If it's on Craig's list and really cheap look and touch before you pay also ask for receipts from them and see what they say.

if im not mistaken, tj and lj suspension parts are interchangable. ill try to find out for ya for CERTAIN

edit: double checked on quadratec. all suspension parts for TJ and LJ are the same. sold as the same kit, actually. (for TJ and unlimited)... so you should be good to go on that part

thank you for the assistance. the console i am wondering about is simply going from a half console to a full one. please do not do any research on stuff, im not lazy and will gladly do the research, i was just hoping someone might have a quick off the cuff answer but if not, i certainly dont want anyone spending their time on my b.s.
thank you though.
the top turned out to be pretty nice, not perfect but included a frame that was a few months old and all three windows were great. i am happy with it for the price so i guess that is the big thing.
as for hating asking questions, its because im very mechanical but a jeep novice. like being a jiu jitsu master at a kung fu tournament.

I'm on quadratic 90% of the day anyway so no worries :p

in reference console-ran across someone with similar question couple weeks back as they were looking at a console that "added" the armrest and rear cup holder. I have the one from factory-there are 3 mounting points (that I am aware of may be more for the front portion)-a 10mm bolt between the frontseats and 2 torx head bolts inside the cup holders in the backseat area. Just aft of the front seats. As you are "switching" from half to full-the rear mounting may not be there-but suspect the front is under the cup holder you have now. Assuming yours is the same as the other peoples I mentioned earlier. There are so many "different" consoles available-might help to know for sure which one you are speaking of.

Wasn't sure from original post if you had hard top, soft top, or what maker of top you had. Sounds as if that is figured out-good luck!!

Know nothing about individual suspension parts or LJs

The spot in the floor where the two torx head bolt in the rear cup holder screw into may be plugged since they are not in use. If you have carpeting just pull it up a little and check. The bolts run right through the floor to the other underside of the jeep where the nut is welded on leaving a opening that anything could come into the vehicle through if it wasn't plugged. Its small but in general i think they plug these things up. If not it would be easy enough to make your own holes when installing the new center consol and just get underneath and put some anti rust and sealant stuff on there when your done.
