95 2.5 liter Wrangler (YJ) questions!!
I've had my 95 jeep in a shop for over a year. Now it's finally being pieces back together after having the engine rebuilt and every place I have ordered a distributor from has given me or the shop the wrong one or it's broken when we get it. I've been screwed around on this for a while now and we are down to installing the distributor, exhaust and intake Manifolds and reconnecting he wire loom/ harness. But every place that I try to order a new ( even reman ) distributors send the shop one with a cap for a 6 cylinder. I don't know a lot about engines, but I was told that was the right distributor I just needed a cap for the 4 cylinder. Is this true for the 2.5 liter?? The parts stores around here all show the same part number for the 2.5 and 4.2 saying only the cap needs to be changed? I live in Louisville KY and have as is aid been screwed over for a while on this, it was supposed to be a quick engine swap but the used engine I bought was stolen then the owner of the business had my engine rebuilt but he didn't have the cash to pay and the engine sat in the machine shop for nearly a year and now a stupid distributor issue is the only thing holding up the completion. Any input would be great!! Thanks

1995 YJ 2.5L I4 distributor. Part # DST4694. $54.79 Includes cap and rotor.

Screw the local idiots in the parts stores...they are wanna-be mechanics who can't do it so they sell parts from a 'puter! I have more problems with these jokers. Bunch of Bozo's!

I agree with 0lll0, rock auto or quadratec or Morris4x4. Here is the parts catalog for your Jeep from morris. Use the CORRECT part # & do an online search for the part.

I need this together and running in 3 days...... Today was supposed to be the day it was completed but again distributor issues. Wild I even be able have the part from these places in hand tomorrow? I found a rebuild kit because the only thing wrong with the one I have is the bushing is worn out and there's to much play for my comfort.
I think rebuild may be the best fix for right now and then once it's running and I can get a job I can order a new one. What's the opinion out there?
