I saw this yesterday and just thought about how it would be hard to see...

I have seen them mounted to the hood before, but they were laid flat instead of sticking up. I think that would be hard to see over, IMO.

CMEvans79 03-13-2011 01:34 AM

Yeah... that's what I have seen before... I had never seen it up like that.

Maybe the owner is 7' tall? :) The windshield mounted lights give me problems.... But then, I'm 5'5"......

daggo66 03-13-2011 11:21 AM

I have hood mounted lights and have no visibility issues.

Seems like it's only a problem if you don't have a set of these:

At least paint it black! Big ugly red thing sitting there on the hood.

Bet he's ruined a bunch of snow brushes.

Mr_RPM 03-13-2011 01:37 PM

hes just trying to look cool.

He's a poser! Where was that picture taken? The mall parking lot.

Square_Eyes 03-13-2011 01:57 PM

I have mine mounted to my hood, it's laying flat though but I also have two 5" oval lights mounted to the jack mount I made and have no visibility issues what so ever, I'm a whopping 5' 10" lol my wife can see just fine too and she's 5' 7" :thumb:

I find it hard to imagine that he/she can look at that set-up and think-

----------------------THIS IS REALLY KEWL-----------------------

Looks like a good reason for an officer to pull the owner over for obstructed visual sight.

sonofabeach 03-13-2011 07:37 PM

I thought about mounting a jack or lights there but I fold my windshield quite a bit.

I must say this is the only thing that actually made me laugh today and now I cant stop laughing the more I think about it. I live alone and havent had much human contact today as I'm off from my store and just getting away relaxing today. I love this photo. Theres something about this that you cant just laugh at it makes all mods seem mild and a non issue. AN 8" lift on a DD JK with 33's would look more reasonable than this set up.

This was taken before I went into a local highschool to test for their police department... future police officer of america.
