I have these with 6" KC daylighters. They look great and the install was cake.

I don't think the lights cause a visibility problem but I have been stopped twice because the cop couldn't see my inspection sticker... no tickets or hassle, just checking to make sure I wasn’t hiding an expired break tag. I guess they run across a lot of brand new vehicles with expired tags.:D

I found mine on ebay pretty cheap

I installed mine about two weeks ago and could not be happier! The switches are so much easier to see in the dark and once they are switched on I have not had any visibility issues with glare from the switches. I chose a blue colored switch and when they are on they have a green tint to them and they match the color of my radio. I have had several comments and questions asking me if I had these installed at the factory.:thumb:

looks awesome, how was the install, easy or nightmare?

This may be a silly question, but would this panel mount on the right hand side?
I'd like one of these, but we drive on the other side!!!!

Reminds me of the recent Top Gear episode where they put the hosts from the Australian show together with the hosts from the British show. The Brits called all the Aussies "Bruce", and they just called all the Brits "Nigel". :D

That looks great! I would like to try that with the new kc lights I just ordered. Where did you get the switches? Any thing I should know before I jump into it?

Thanks in advance!

Toby

Thanks!

I got the switches from a local automotive store...here is a similar type Amazon.com: Pilot LED Round Rocker Switch - Blue: Home Improvement
If you google "round rocker switch" you can find a bunch of different kinds...

Then all you need is a cone shaped drill bit, something like this... Amazon.com: Eazypower Corp 1/2X1 Cone Rot File 30076 Rotary Rasp: Home Improvement you need it at least as big as the switch and I used a slide ruler(caliper) to measure the exact diamater of the switch then measured the cone shaped bit and put a mark on it where it was the same size and zipped a hole in the pillar(no measuring there, just eyeballed and marked center point).

The install everything was real easy. The panel next to the door pops right off and I didn't have to even remove the trim off the pillar.

Overall I'm real happy with it.

The install was cake.... Very easy no hidden issues. Having them make it easier to run wires from under the dash and through the firewall.

well i got mine yesterday, i really like the looks of it!!:) i cant wait to get my lights wired to it.
