Soft Top and Frame Compatability

My 1994 Jeep Wrangler which I've had for as long, is on it's 2nd soft top and frame (original tub rails). All information seemed to indicate that the Rampage frame would be compatible with the BestTop Sailcloth top. I tried to install these items yesterday but ran into a couple of problems.

First, I cannot unscrew the tub rails by hand (and I killed a star head screwdriver in the process). Is there a specific method to removing those types of bolts, or is it as simple as a drill with the correct screw driver bit?

Second, I decided that I'd leave the existing tub rails on and install the new frame and top until I could solve the issue with the star bolts. The sailcloth top would not fit on the new frame. The channels of the two rear canvas "columns" (the ones that engage the curved channels) would pop out if the frame was pushed into it's fully engaged position. Was it simply because it was too cold outside or is it because these two items are incompatible? It wasn't that cold and the top had been indoors until just before I tried. It didn't even look like it was a close fit.

I just bought and put on a new top/frame . It said install above 72* as the top shrinks 1 inch . It was 62* outside and it was a real pain . I had to stretch it on the frame a little at a time . Wait 30 min and stretch more till the frame could go all way up .

This may not be your issue cause I used a kit from Bestop so maby your diff manufactures is the issue .
