track bars on yj

I was wondering what would the results be if i removed front and rear track bars and sway bar? It is just a trail rig maybe a sunday cruiser on a warm day i wouldnt have any major problems other than handling would i? Its got a 4 in lift and 33s on it

Take em' off, and see how it feels. If you think it needs em', leave em' on. If not, just rip them out.

There's more than a few threads on here about this subject, but take them off. All they do is bind your suspension when it cycles. Leaf sprung vehicles were never meant to have track bars.

Most lifts on the YJ call for removal of the rear. Still running the front and the sway bar. Like the road manners of having them.

Get rid of the front and rear track bars. You won't notice a difference. As for the front sway bar, I have quick disconnects, so I kept it, but I'm no sure it makes much difference. I am running SOA with a total of 6" lift and 35s.

I was gonna run just that no trackbars and quick disconect sway links but i bought junk ones with a pin pullout instead of tightening down or unscrewing a nut. So i took that out too

Shouldn't really notice a difference with or without disconnects, unless you try to take an off ramp at 40mph. I drive without them frequently, because I can't be bothered to put them back when I cone off the trails.

been there done that, removed my rear trac and front, no need with leaf sprung and you wont see them on anything but a chrysler really anyways. i had sway dissconects on my front, i could never tell if they were hooked up or not on roads so i removed sway bar altogether

i found that my jeep works better off road and rides better on road with the track bars off.
