Quick question about headlights :]

Hey, been looking around the forums and have only found 1 thread relating to the question i've been looking for but can't seem to find the answer. I own a 2002 Wrangler X, pretty much stock but only 37,000 mi.

I've run into some trouble, I bought some HID bulbs to replace the round headlights. I received them in the mail (about 3 months ago) and the first day I got them I wanted to just switch out the bulbs but when i went to put them in I realized they were sealed housings, after that I kinda just tucked them in the closet and haven't really messed with them.

My question is, where would I be able to find unsealed housings, preferably without the bulbs, to make it more cost efficient for me? Since I can't return the HID bulbs anymore, i'm pretty much stuck with them. Trying to get this all done before I deploy.

Thanks in advance, any help would be appreciated!

I bought the Delta HID conversions, they aren't sealed and come with bulbs already... but might be worth calling them to see if they sell the assemblies minus the main bulbs...

I think I saw those on quadratech for $98, I was hoping there was something near the $50-70 range. I hate to be cheap though

I forgot to mention I ordered the HID kit, it says H4 (hi/lo) - 6000k on the box and it came with the lights and ballasts. I know how to install them and everything but I don't quite know what type of housing or even where to begin looking on where to find them :[

EDIT: I saw these:

But I was in a live chat with someone there and he said those would not work with the H4 kit I got off HIDKit.com, any ideas?

I found a pair on eBay 4 yrs ago for around $23, try a search on there and see what you can find

What would I search for?

I got ipf housings off of 4wheelparts.com and they are great and form a really nice beam pattern If you get crappy housings they won't work well and will blind other drivers

Are those the lights that I see on cars that are kind of a blue color?

Search for replacement headlights and put in your bulb type. Sometimes you have to get creative with the search words, the best things are hidden because some people can't spell:)

Good luck

If you get the 6000k color it's pure white if you get 8000k it has a tint of blue

JC Whitney has inexpensive empty housings like you need.
