OEM Front Bumper, Bottom (2) T55 Torx Bolts?
I'm in the process of changing my OEM front bumper. I'm haven't trouble with the two underside T55 torx bolts. My T55 Bit seems to have alot of play in it when inserted into head, like its one size too small. When I tried to loosen, slips off the STAR bolt. Only, I tried twice because I don't want strip bumper torx bolts, then I'm screwed. BTW, I was able remove the top bolts @ the tow hooks with same bit. Is it my northern tool bought torx bit the issue? Has anyone came across the same issue?

FYI, I found a great sale on Body Armor front bumper for $339 with free shipping, in addition to a $45 rebate= $295 total. The same bumper is selling on sites elsewhere for $400 plus $60 s/h.

Also, I will be selling my MINT OEM TJ bumper w/ new End Caps and if wanted the milkjugs.

YES i bought/used the Northern Tool set too... it is crap... (actually broke on me)...go to home depot and get the HUSKY torx bit set... i use it ALL the time... Lifetime warranty...

Or you can get Craftsman... (nothing against them... just dont use em)

Once you get them out, do yourself a favor and replace with grade 8 hex bolts.

or make it harder for the thief... and keep the torx...

I wouldn't consider torx to be a theft deterrent. It'll slow them down, but so would a properly torqued hex with locktite applied.

agreed... i intend to give any thief PLENTY of deterrents... trust me... he/she will hate me by the time he/she gets what he/she is after... (MAYBE even to the point that they will give up...)

I used a T55 from Harbor Freight and got mine off no problem.

Try one of these if you can find one...

Sears: Online department store featuring appliances, tools, fitness equipment and more

Manual impact driver that you can put your torx bit on directly... Plus you get to use a hammer as the correct tool for the job :D
