Immigration!!!

Quote:

You all pardon the length of this. And the policical incorrectness. I just read it and had to share it. Agree or disagree, it has to make you think.
I don't know how everybody else feels about it, but I
think Hispanic people in this country, legally or illegally,
made a huge public relations mistake with their recent demonstrations.

I don't blame anybody in the world for wanting to come to the
United States of America, as it is a truly wonderful place.

But when the first thing you do when you set foot on American soil is
illegal, it is flat out wrong, and I don't care how many lala land left
heads come out of the woodwork and start trying to give me sensitivity
lessons.

I don't need sensitivity lessons. I don't have anything against
Mexicans! I
just have something against criminals, and anybody who comes into this
country illegally is a criminal. If you don't believe it, try coming
into
America from a foreign country without a passport and see how far you
get.
What disturbs me about the demonstrations is that it's tantamount to
saying,
"I am going to come into your country even if it means breaking your
laws,
and there's nothing you can do about it."

It's an "in your face" action, and speaking just for me, I don't like
it one
little bit, and if there were even half a dozen pairs of gonads in
Washington bigger than English peas, it wouldn't be happening.

Where are you, you bunch of lily-livered, pantywaist, forked- tongued,
sorry
excuses for defenders of The Constitution? Have you been drinking the
water
out of the Potomac again?
And even if you manage to pass a bill on immigration, it will probably
be so
pork-laden and watered down that it won't mean anything anyway.
Besides,
what good is another law going to do when you won't enforce the ones on
the
books now?

And what ever happened to the polls, guys? I thought you folks were
the
quintessential finger wetters. Well, you sure ain't paying any
attention to
the polls this time! Somewhere around eighty percent of Americans want
some
thing done about this mess, and mess it is, and it's getting bigger
every
day.

This is no longer a problem; it is a dilemma headed to becoming a
tragedy.
Do you honestly think that what happened in France with the Muslims
can't
happen here when the businesses who hire these people finally run out
of
jobs and a few million disillusioned Hispanics take to the streets?

If you, Mr. President, Congressmen, and Senators, knuckle under on this
and
refuse to do something meaningful, it will mean that you care nothing
for
the kind of country your children and grand-children will inherit. But
I
guess that doesn't matter as long as you get re-elected.

Shame on you.

One of the big problems in America today is that if you have the nerve
to
say anything derogatory about any group of people (except Christians)
you
are going to be screamed at by the media and called a racist, a bigot,
and
anything else they can think of to call you

Well, I've been pounded by the media before, and I'm still rockin' and
rollin'. And when it comes to speaking the truth, I fear not.
And the truth is that the gutless, gonadless, milksop politicians are
just
about to sell out the United States of America because they don't have
the
intestinal fortitude to stand up to face reality.

And reality is that we would never allow any other group of people to
have
12 million illegals in this country, and only turn around and say, "Oh,
it's
ok. Ya'll can stay here if you'll just allow us to slap your wrist."

And I know that some of you who read this column are saying, "Well
what's
wrong with that?"
I'll tell you what's wrong with it. These people could be from Mars as
far
as we know. We don't know who they are, where they are, or what
they're up
to. And the way the Congress is going, we're not going to find out.

Does this make sense? Labor force you say? We already subsidize
corporate
agriculture as it is; must we subsidize their labor as well?
If these people were from Haiti, would we be so fast to turn a blind
eye to
them, or if they were from Somalia or Afghanistan ?
I think not.

All the media likes to shows us are pictures of hardworking Hispanics
who
have crossed the border just to try to better their lives.
They don't show you pictures of the Feds rounding up members of MS 13,
the
violent gang who came across the same way the decent folks did. They
don't
tell you about the living conditions of the Mexican illegal that some
fat
cat hired to pick his crop.

I want to make two predictions.

No. 1: This situation is going to grow and fester until it erupts in
violence on our streets while the wimps in Washington drag their toes
in the
dirt and try to figure how many tons of political hay they can make to
the
acre.

No 2: Somebody is going to cross that border with some kind of weapon
of
mass destruction and set it off in a major American city, after which
there
will be a backlash such as this country has never experienced. The
Capitol
building in Washington will probably tilt over as Congressmen and
Senators
rush to the other side of the issue.

I don't know about you, but I would love to see just one major
politician
stand up and say, "I don't care who I make mad, and I don't care how
many
votes I lose; this is a desperate situation, and I'm going to lead the
fight
to get it straightened out."

I don't blame anybody for wanting to come to America , but if you don't
respect our immigration laws, why should you respect any others?

And by the way, this is America and our flag has stars and stripes.
Please
get that other one out of my face.

God Bless America

.Amen. Someone park their jeep in DC and put this album on repeat :)

1BLKJP 06-13-2007 05:49 PM

Hell yeah Charlie.

I tell ya'll something. The Minutemen that we have here trying to do their thing to protect the border is going to start blowing up in cities and just not at the line. There are going to be hard working Americans taking things into their own hands a viable solution that has teeth isn't put into place soon.

My wife's best friend works for Charlie Daniels and I've been to his offices in TN. I just wish he'd been there to talk to about this stuff.

daddyjeep 06-14-2007 12:34 PM

How can anyone not love Charlie Daniels.

Dare2BSquare 06-14-2007 07:31 PM

Yeah, but will anyone listen to him?

1BLKJP 06-14-2007 07:43 PM

It's the PC world we live in. The only peoples feelings that we want to hurt live in the Middle East. Around here we will cow tow to the illegals and every politician will try to find the cheap way out of it.

Good way to keep US companies from hiring illegals.

1st Offense: 10k fine
2nd offense: 6 mos in prison
3rd offense: your business will be shut down and auctioned off.

Hackle 06-14-2007 08:23 PM

OK two points:

First: Jack it is not that easy to just blame the companies that hire them. They all have forged documents! Companies have no way to check these and if they do not hire them they can be sued for discrimination.

Second:Most of the legal mexicans that I know of are as pissed off as we are. They went through the system and now people are handed what they worked so hard to earn??? I asked one of my crew if he was going to the protest. His reply was " I am not a fecking wet back". The Mexican legals to me are more then welcome.

Mike001 06-14-2007 10:51 PM

Yeah but its too bad no body will stand up and fix the problem. Did anyome watch the news yesterday we "whites" are going to be outnumbered in our oen country in a couple of decades. Illegals are reproducing at higher rates than us and we're pretty much screwed. I guess no one learned from the Roman Empire, well somebody better take some freakin damn notes cause we're next. BUt like you said heaven forrbid we say something because that would make us racist. We're just here makin and honest living leagally and paying taxes but illegal F**king immigrants have more goddamn rights thatn us. I have seen illegals get medical care and treated faster than an American who pays taxes and social security with a health plan. Since when did America become a Safe Haven for motherF**kers who break the law. What a bunch of hypocricy. THis BS pisses me off. I'm leavin before I get started. Before some asshole runs his/her mouth about my views piss off, I served my Country Honorably so don't be a tough guy on a Forum and run your mouth.

Joe Dirt 06-15-2007 12:13 AM

You ever have to go to the emergancy room in the middle of the night? You have to wait for hours behind every illegal with a cold who goes there, gives a false name and gets free treatment. Meanwhile, my health insurance goes through the roof to make up for the bills they don't pay. I'm now a minority in CA.

No, you are right it's not all that cut and dry, but there are plenty of cases when employers flat out know they are bringing in an illegal work force.

Odhinn 06-15-2007 07:40 AM

There is no answer to this situation unless we close the border tighter then the USSR during the cold war era and this would fail occasionally. My issue is not with the legal immigrants that have worked their butts off to earn their right to be here. As for companies and people that hire them some of them are duped with forged papers but some companies knowingly hire them because they can get away with paying them less which in unfair for both the Illegal and American citizens. BTW most of those forged papers are Identity Theft and is also Illegal, so thats 2 strikes in my book and they should be locked up.

Just ask someone who has had their Identity stolen by an illegal how they felt when the IRS came to them asking why they didn't report the extra income and demanding payment of taxes, (This has been in the news several times).

IMO the border should be closed and our immigration laws enforced. Prosecute the coyote's (not just the ones that injure illegals), the Illegals (deportation doesn't work), and the companies that knowingly hire them. It will take a hardline at first to take care of the problem because it has been ignored for so long and our politicians only address the issue long enough to get votes.

Disclaimer: This is not directed at anyone except Illegals and our Government :D

Dare2BSquare 06-15-2007 08:50 AM

Well, it looks like our "representatives" are going to take another stab at doing something. If they don't this go round, I'm voting against every one of my senators and congressmen next time they are up for reelection.

kg4kpg 06-15-2007 08:53 AM

Here is another interesting article my mother sent to me.

Let's say I break into your house

A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials in ages!!! It explains things better than all the baloney you hear on TV.

Her point:

Recently large demonstrations have taken place
across the country protesting the fact that Congress
is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration.

Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own
borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and,
once here, to stay indefinitely.

Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests. Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave.

But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the
dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors. I've
done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working
and honest (except for when I broke into your house).

According to the protesters:

You are Required to let me stay in your house
You are Required to add me to your family's insurance plan
You are Required to Educate my kids
You are Required to Provide other benefits to me & to my family

(my husband will do all of your yard work because he is also hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part).

If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my
RIGHT to be there.

It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm a hard-working
and honest, person, except for well, you know, I did break into your house.

And what a deal it is for me!!!

I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of cold, uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and
bigoted behavior.

Oh yeah, I DEMAND that you to learn MY LANGUAGE!!! so you can communicate with me.

Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?! Only in America
if you agree, pass it on (in English).

Share it if you see the value of it.

If not blow it off.........
along with your future Social Security
funds, and a lot of other things.

If something like this makes me a bigot, then bigot I am.

Odhinn 06-15-2007 09:02 AM

We have no 2 thumbs up smiley but in full agreement.:)

Scotty355 06-15-2007 11:16 PM

I live 5 mins from Hazleton Pa. and if anyone hasn't seen it on tv the mayor and city counsel tried to enact an illegal immigrant law it is being fought in the courts now by the ACLU, maybe eventually going to the supreme court.
Mayor Lou Barletta for Pres!!!!!

I completely agree with the article.. you are not suppose to be here.. get the f out... first of all you come here ILLEGALY and now i see people are forming marches and crap.. first of all you are disrespecting/breaking the laws and then you are asking the laws to be changed for you? I just hate illegals.

I my self am foreign that went through the process. My parents spend every dollar (euro to be exact) they earned to try to save up and get here, it was a lot of money, we waited long long time, we went to an interview, we pay taxes, we've done such a hard time to get here and now some one illegal gets nearly the same benefits as we do? Is that right? Should i be paying for some one to go to school that is illegal here? Should i be paying for someone to get money for having 10-15 kids that are all illegal here? There are many thing i can think of but i again dont want to sound racis.. again i hate illegals that exploit this country and make fun of it.

It doenst stop there though. Now we have multipe families living in the same house. They pay property taxes only for 1 family so the rest of the families arent contributing anything to society. Then the complainers. "Oh this country sucks.. Hey you Americans your country is stupid.. its a bad country." Meanwhile they are living here.

1 sentence.. If you are illegal, you dont belong here so get the F out.

tiny terror 06-16-2007 09:40 AM

Playing the devil's advocate but I notice no one is speaking of the Cubans who face horrible odds to cross miles of water to find true freedom here. Is it the same? Or is the fact that there doesn't seem to be an "invasion" from Cuba that makes that seem ok? Or maybe it's Castro?

I see some of the flip side. The people who are willing to live in squalor here make me think it must be really bad in Mexico. I've watched the men stand on the corners waiting for work whole days at a time, seen them be taken advantage of by employers, had them ring my bell on days like Christmas when most people are at home with their families.

No, I do think they should be gathered up and sent back to their own country. I had a friend from Switzerland who let his visa run out. Too bad. I had no sympathy for him. He knew the hoops and forgot to jump. Bye, have fun back in Europe. I jump through plenty of hoops and pay the price when I miss, but if one of the costs was having to leave, I damn well know that I wouldn't forget.

Yes, I think we should close the borders tighter than a bull's ass and patrol them armed. But I also think that everyone involved needs to step back and remember that these aren't just illegals. They're humans pushed sometimes by complete and total desperation. I think we also need to remember that there are plenty of legal Americans using the system to live, drawing our money through the creative use of paperwork to survive without working a day. Let's toss them, too. :D

I obviously can't speak for everyone else but i was under the impression our immigration laws applied to everyone. For me, this is not about Mexicans, and it's certainly not about legal immigrants.
I would support streamlining legal immigration but I'll be damned if I will support giving citizenship to criminals that have broken in.
As far as remembering that these people are humans, of course I do, I wouldn't support hunting permits for em or allowing people to keep them as pets.
There is nothing wrong or inhumane with kicking them the hell out.
