Hood

I run my "X" everyday to work, but am getting tired of the hood slaping in the wind on the freeways! Darn rubber hood straps, and sugestions?????

Mount a hi-lift jack on the hood lol

Other then adding weight to the hood there isn't much you can do to hold it down, it's a jeep thing really, it shouldn't flap around to much but it's going to move a little, since I mounted my jack on my hood I haven't noticed it flapping at all on the high way or freeway.

Check out quadratec. They have an aftermarket replacement called "hood wranglers" made by daystar. Dont have any myself but heard they get rid of the hood flutter.

4wd Hardware also sells an offroad hood pin that replaces the current latches. It was in the spring catalog with a bunch of billet stuff, and I can't for the life of me remember the name of the company that makes them. It looked like an adjustable billet aluminum link with a pin on the hood side that would hold the hood stationery when properly adjusted. Even had a stainless lanyard for the pin that attached to the hood side as well. Just another option.

If they are the ones I'm thinking about they are made by Drake. Really nice, but pricey. I wish they came in a black powder coat.
