Dome Lights

I've spent the past 3 hours looking online and couldn't find shit.

My dome lights don't work. I haven't checked the fuse yet but I looked it up and it's supposed to be fuse#4? I also know the bulb is 211-2.

Basically I need to know stepxstep how to dismantle the dome piece of an 06 wrangler TJ. I have a hardtop on and it'd be a hastle to take that off so if there's anyway to do it without removing that I'd be extremely happy.

I plan on wiring the lights I want to install into the speakers so they flash to the beat. Late night desert parties need a of bit entertainment ;P. I read up on the quadratec dome light switch; It seems pretty decent. Has anyone installed it themselves and been using it?

Fuse #4 is the one that is removed to disable the interior lights when a door is opened. It is not the fuse that actually protects the interior lighting circuitry. Do your interior lights turn on in the usual way when you turn them on from the dashlight dimmer control?

Is fuse #4 in place and good? Could the previous owner have removed or disconnected the door jamb switches?

ya i used a test light to check the fuse,it was good.didnt check the door switchs yet. they just ground to make the circit. correct? if so there should only be one wire? i should be able to ground the wire to make the lights come on IF there isnt another issue.

Nope the door switches are not one wire. They are two wires. I do not remember if they make the negative or the positive connection for the lights.

No, they don't turn on at all. I just want to get everything brand new (bulbs, wires connected, fuses, etc) so I don't have to troubleshoot a bunch of times. I just pretty much need to know what fuse needs to be replaced, and how to get the dome off to replace the bulbs.

You're checking fuse #4 behind the glove box, right?
