Hey everyone,
My cousins friend had a YJ a couple years ago that he was planning to build up but he got into a car accident. The Jeep was totaled. He claims he has a 3.5 inch Rough Country lift brand new in the box that he'll sell to me.

A few questions:
1. Was there a 3.5 inch lift?
2. Was it crap?
3. Do the springs sag? (I can buy a new set to install with the kit)
4. Quality of the lift?
5. What did it cost new back then?
6. Any forewarnings? (sucks as saggy springs, exploding shocks, etc.)
7. How much would you say its worth?
8. Worth buying?
9. Will they clear 33s?

I think that's it! Thanks in advance!

i think a few years back they had a 4.5" ive heard that the older RC springs sag really badly untill they finally improved the springs recently (i think a year or two ago)

maybe by chance he had a tj kit? they come in 3.25 or 3.75, maybe he got his numbers mixed up?

or possibly he accidently got a jk 3.5 kit?

3.5 would be no problem for 33s, unless you need some serious flex you wont need to worry, if its brand new in the box im sure you might be able to grab it for under 300$

it has to be a YJ kit if its leaf springs. The TJ and JK have coils
I talked to a buddy of mine and he is sure that rough country had a 4.5 inch kit which had terrible sagging problems. not too sure about the size of the smaller kit offered at the same time.
