2 inch coil spacers and BL?

i have a 98 sahara and pretty much everything is stock. I am thinking about purchasing a 2in coil spacer kit by zone, then eventually add either a 1 or 2in body lift. what are your guys opinions on my idea and what else would i need to change if i wanted to do that? (droping transfer case, drop arm, and so on) thanks:punk:

1.25 is prob the max u can go without looking ugly. What are ur tire plans?

mitch82 04-23-2011 07:20 PM

i have 31's on now and probably wont get any bigger for a while

Don't go over a 1.25 inch body lift I agree.

If u are sticking with 31s then go with the 2" bb. U can get the bl if you want to go with bigger tires like a 33. Here is what mine looked like with a 2" bb and 31's

yeah thats pretty much the look i want. is there any other adjustments that i would have to make?

I highly recommend you replace the factory front trac bar with an aftermarket. It will make your job a lot easier.

I had a 2" BB and never had any troubles with my stock track bar at all. Shoot with my stock track bar and the 3" springs I installed today the track bar only needs to be 1/2" longer just to get the tires square again.
No need to drop the transfer case or swap the pitman arm. If, you get the 1 1/4" body lift I'd get the 1" motor mount lift at the same time... makes things much easier.
If you are not doing any crazy 4 wheeling then the stock shocks will hold up for you.

I have 4 2" BB spacers and 4 2"-3" shocks, if you are interested.

Yep, and mine was a severe pain to get back on, so I swapped it out, plus the trac bar seems to be the biggest cause of death wobble if it loose or worn out. As with any mod results and problems will vary.

I ran a 2" Rubicon Express Budget Boost Coil Spacer Lift and 1" BL with 33s. I like it, rode pretty decent.

Here's some pics of mine with various lift combos.
