Learning how NOT to hire an American....

Even though I have way too many posts and was going to just lurk a bit, I found something that caught my attention after the recent discussions on illegal immigration and jobs being taken away from American citizens here on WF...

Ain't that fun?

OH I know its true... a friend that worked at a couple of burger joints, his bosses told him that corperate wanted them to hire more hispanics, and he was lucky that he got the job when he did. And he was the only white kid in there, the rest were mid-aged hispanics.

nicolas-eric 06-27-2007 02:04 AM

i think that´s true.

i also worked in the US for a year because they couldn´t find somebody else. but i´m very specialized in my job. there aren´t more than about 500 people all aroud the world with that abilities.

but i can think that many conmpanies do that to save some money on their workers.

This is exactly why I left the computer field. I can only hope that all of the people in that video contract Herpes from a diseased goat.

That's really cool

I bet you could make some awsome pics of your jeep surfing or something haha

nicolas-eric 06-27-2007 04:35 PM

back to topic:

here in germany we have an similar problem.
the companies wanted to save money and didn´t educate enough peopla in the last years.
now they want to hire +100.000 cheap workers from east europe or asia.
and we have about 4.000.000 unemployed people here.
that really sucks in my opinion.

MoA 06-27-2007 05:16 PM

so do u animate any movies or nething?

I'd like to see em prosecuted for treason

Don't forget to call your senators and congress critters, the godsforsaken traitors have brought up the amnesty bill again and it looks to be gaining steam.

this is a number set up by proponents of this scam but we can use it against them, just ignore their "message"

Ask you senators why the hell they think they can get away with ignoring the will of the vast majority of Americans including LEGAL immigrants?

most of the time i produce TV commercials and music clips.
before i had my own business a part of my work was programming plug-ins for visual effects.
some plug-ins that render realistic dinosaur skin and ocean surfaces were a part of my work.
but because of the copyrights i can´t show some parts of the movies i worked on.

if you want you can see some of my actual work here:

http://www.audio-visual-services.de/

if you click on "showreel" you can see a 2 minutes clip with some things i made. if you click on "filme" you can see the whole commercials and music clips.

How do you know it's "realistic"?

nicolas-eric 06-27-2007 09:45 PM

we studied elefant, rhinoceros and hippopotamus skin and how it moves for many weeks and tried to make the dinosaur skin look similar to this.

Scout 06-27-2007 09:46 PM
