When you are considering replacing those factory TREs, look at getting a stronger overall system. Great price in the lower 48 US.

Great upgrade to get some HD TRE and new links.

Allen

AOR 02-09-2012 06:43 AM

If you have to replace your TRE and link, why not upgrade. It is less expensive to upgrade all components in a kit form. With or without a stabilizer.

Crown did add the RHD drive kit I found out yesterday. However, they have the same issue with the one TRE that has the zerk fitting facing the wrong direction and is breaking them off. Replacements have been ordered but no ETA yet.

Allen

This kit is currently on hold. The TREs at the pitman arm end have the zerk fitting on the wrong side and they are getting torn off. Replacements have been order for the TREs, but are slow to come in. I will post when they are ready to ship again.

This would work just as your factory setup. It is just more HD. Most people that purchase this kit are replacing tired worn out or bent parts to begin with. If you want something superior and have the cash, go with the Currie Enterprises Correctlync. PM me if you would like more information about the Currie product.

Great upgrade for worn out steering. If you have to replace TREs anyway, why not upgrade at the same time.

PM or Post.

I am currently running a Rugged Ridge kit and have been experiencing the "dead spot" for a couple of years not knowing what that was. The tie rod end dust covers need to be replaced and maybe the kit should be also. Does the Crown Steering kit have a "dead spot"?

02 Wrangler TJ w/4" lift

Thank you

Bill

Bill,

it does not to my knowledge. I have not had any feedback for anyone to that effect either. Have you checked your power steering box for adjustment. I know my '99 Chevy K1500 had that. Kind of a stuck spot in the middle and then turning corners it would just let loose and I would over steer into the turn.

Check that out as well.

Allen
