Blaine (Savvy Offroad) recommended Dana Spicers as a very good replacement for the wore out OEM's. I dont know of places that have them cheaper but you can get all 4 of them from 4 wheel parts for 92.00.

How do you know when your ball joints are shot? As in, what are the symptoms? Thanks!

two things, either they are sloppy in the joint and look/feel like they are going to fall out of socket. Or, the rubber is all cracked up with some missing :D and usually they will violently rattle on washboard bumps.

To tell you can jack the front or each side up and if you rock, or lift tire up/down motion, watching the joint there should not be any play or slop in the knuckle or Ball Joint.

As for replacements, your best bet is TRW, Moog or the Dana Spicers. TRW & Moog should be available at most auto stores. The like you listed, didnot look like typical Ball Joints and was listed under steering linkage.
