1993 jeep wrangler owner
Hi I bought a 1993 Jeep Wrangler in December of last year. I have a few questions dealing with the soft top. With the 1993 Jeep can you take the soft top off and put it behind the back seat instead of taking it completely off? I have never owned a jeep and have no idea what I am doing, my husband also has no idea what to do. When I bought the jeep it came with the hard top, hard doors, soft top and soft doors and the bikini top. This is going to be an adventure.

Welcome to the forum! Was the soft top hardware (bows that spread out the soft top) installed under the hard top? I'm sure you could pull off the soft top skin and roll it up behind the back seat, but I'm in same boat sort of. I wanted half doors and traded someone my full doors, and now took my top off and have nothing haha. Let us know how it goes!

when we looked at the jeep they had the hard top on when we bought it they had put on the soft top, We took the soft top off in December and put on the hard top but it was so cold I don't remember how we did it or if it even how it works. This should be fun trying to figure out how to get it back on lol I will let you know how it goes

The soft top should fold behind your back seat, just remember to tuck in your sail flaps, and alternate the directions of the folds. Also, Google and YouTube are your friends. There are a lot of videos on how to lower and raise the tops out there, and even if they're not for the YJ, they will still give you the basic idea. One tip I can pass along though, is that when you put the soft top back up, attach the header to the windshield BEFORE you attach the rear sail panels. I did this the opposite way and it once took me a half an hour, pulling as hard as I could to get the header up to the windshield. The bows in the back give at a downward angle, making it easier to pull the sail panels down towards the tub.
