Would anyone be interested in...

Going to the WE-Rock event in Columbus, OH over the weekend of May 5th-7th? We are considering having a WranglerForum meeting there either that weekend, or going to the offroad park to wheel on a seperate weekend, but would love to have some feedback as to who (if anyone other than daddyjeep and myself) would be interested in something like this. Post here if you have any interest and we start making arrangements next month to make sure that we get hotel rooms/campsites for the event.

I might be able to make that.. taking a vacation the month before but might be able swing it as it gets closer.. i am about 2hrs from columbus give or take. What kind of trails are do they have?.. my jeep is slightly over stock so will i be okay?;)

Have to wait a bit to see what the school schedule will be. I'll pencil in the dates

More information can be found about "The ROC" here. This looks to me to be an extreme rock crawl location for competition or extreme trail rigs only... I know from what I saw that I still like the sheetmetal on my rig too much to play there, but would still love to go down to see the WE Rock event in May.

I checked the pic's out, not sure my sheet metal would like it too much, neat way to build a park, long tubes and concrete from what i can tell. Would like to try it but pic below makes me think twice.

That was my thought too, but after looking at the pictures more, it looks like the only reason that this is so extreme is the lines that they are required to take. If the cones weren't there, I think that I could drive 90% of what they are showing in those pics. (May just be my arrogance, or ignorance though;) :D ) Still am going to try to get some people together in Columbus in May!

I think one of our club members competed at this place (I think I remember some talk about it last year) He is a competator in Neuroc.

I'll see him tonight at our meeting and ask him about it.

anyone still thinking of attending? I looked at the schedule: (my life reduced to 30/31 squares) final exams are coming up around that date, so we're a no go. http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/sad013.gif

I expect a full report if ya'll attend

jeeperman 03-06-2006 10:01 AM

Not sure if I will be able to attend (especially if I am going by myself) because the work schedule just got switched to weekends... No fun!:(
