If you can't weld and can't setup gears then yes that's a good price! I wouldn't put a dime into a d35 either.

You ordering from East Coast Gear Supply? I got my 8.8 from there as well. I ran it with stock upper control arms for about 4 months. I did have vibes, but only at highway speeds, around the town it was fine.
And Yes, I agree with you about not listening to those who tell you to build your own 8.8. I am so sick of them and that saying. The best money I spent was having my HPD30 and 8.8 build by ECGS.
I see you want the 1310 adapter flange, if you have the extra money, get the 1310 forged yolk. Trust me, I should have spent the extra money on it. It makes unboting the drive shaft 10x's easier.

I ran my dana 30 in the front with 3.07s while the 8.8 was in the rear with 4.88s. Just un-bolt the front driveshaft and you will be fine until you can get it regeared.

Thanks man that was a big help and do I need to get a high pinion Dana 30 or can I just stick to my current one and get someone to swap 4.56s in it. How was the instal? Pretty straight forward? And I'll consider geting the forged one but my budgets tight right now

To be honest, for the cost of a re-gear your LPD30, it was cheaper for me to order a HPD30 from ECGS with 4.88s in it shipped. I swapped over my brakes, knuckles, steering, shafts. It a very easy install with basic hand tools.

$2,100 shipped for both axles. No locker in them.

That's really good I Definetly want a limited slip in the 8.8 though. I think I may go ahead and order it today were they quick with shipping?

IMO ditch the LSD, get an open carrier and then install a lunchbox locker. If you ever decide you want to get a lunchbox locker in the future you would have to get a new carrier.

Also you don't need to remove the front DS with mismatched gear ratios, just don't put it in 4wd.

I ordered the axles on a Monday afternoon, and had them that Saturday. They were wicked fast with the shipping.
Im not sure where you are from, but if you live any where, where this is snow and ice, I personally would not get a "lunch box" locker in the 8.8. I would get the Limited Slip put it. :thumb:

Your right.... But why chance it. Just remove the front ds to be safe.

I love my 8.8. I did get adjustable upper AND lower control arms. Mine has 4.88 gears and a rebuilt ford trac lock LSD. I am running 35's and would only be happier if my gas gauge didnt start screwing up.

Wow little testy are we :) I'm in the middle of my 8.8 swap, and while I've come out SLIGHTLY cheaper then what ECGS would be, including having a shop do the welds, I'm more happier with getting the experience in setting everything up. Ultimately, it's been a time consuming pain in the ass.

As well, EGCC didn't have any 4.11 differentials when I checked.
