Dome light issue

Ok so I know the older Jeeps you had to remove a fuse to stop the dome lights from coming on when the doors are off.

I have a 2011 4 door JK and the lights normally go off with no issues. I didn't start the day with any issues once taking the doors off but, now the dome light is staying on....

I have double checked the gate is shut properly and the gague cluster is not showing any thing is open. I have also tried clicking them off but they are staying on. I have started and truned off my Jeep several times but the lights are still on.

I am not sure what to do to get them to go off please help.

I think you're doomed lol

Well i guess I am not doomed I just went back out to try and figure it out and the light went off.

I was gonna say this might be the problem.

Check if the light icon is pointed toward a square or the arrow shaped thing above the square. If its on the square (2nd pic), thats why they wont turn off because that is like a permanent ON switch.

likely you have dome light switch on (on the turn signal light switch)

The second square is the on switch, not the first one.

****^^^^****
This.
More than once, I've found this exact thing to be affecting my own dome light mysteriously not wanting to go off.

Worse yet, I typically have been unable to identify how I managed to turn it on without knowing I had done such.

Its very easy to accidentally rotate on as you turn on the headlights - I have had to diagnose it too!

Yeah I realized that after I posted the picture. Either way, it gets the point across ;)
