clunking noise

I have an 02 wrangler sport with 49k and while driving I get a clunk when I go over a bump or when going into and coming out of a drive way. Possible bad sway bar link??

my whole transmission hops up off the skid and hits when i go over bump. possibly same for you? i dunno

Why isnt it bolted down????

Could be a number off things.... muffler, tailpipe, differentials, tranny.....
Go under your jeep and start try to move stuff around:cool:

Thats where the bumper sticker comes into play

"Honk if parts fall off"

Ive got the exact same problem. I just bought a jeep 2 days ago w/ a 3.5" lit kit on it, I went under there and torqued all the suspension commponents back down becasue some of teh bolts were 1-3 turns loose!!

Good luck!

it is bolted down. i dont know why it does it. i'm 99% sure its the tranny/t-case. but maybe not. let me know if you figure yours out so i can check mine

If you think it is t-case noise, check your mounts, they do have a habbit of wearing out, over time.

i just redid all of them on the tranny and the torque arm. does the t-case have seperate ones?
