So finally, after a week of wrestling with lug nuts and spending a total of 4-6 hours of actually installing springs and shocks my lift was finished. I installed a 2.5" Rough Country lift. I also have some disconnects, but have to install them, plus a few problems with some bolts to clear up BUT I'm driving again.
The before pictures have the regular silver canyons. I repainted them to a graphite color. I'm currently running 31" x 10.5" tires. I'll get some more pics up of the install, and the before and after with tape measure shots up later.

How did you paint the wheels? and how are they holding up?
06-24-2011 03:20 PM
Well I sanded them up nicely and then painted them with Rustoleum wheel paint. So far it's held up really well. That's after an 11 trip to the beach for a week and some wheeling in the sand then 11 hours back. I can get some pictures of a few up close if you'd like.

Yeah, if you don't mind, I would like to see some more of the wheels

Sure thing. I'll get some pics up after I get home today. I'm out helping the grandparents.

Here are a couple of pictures for you. I need to clean them but I just haven't had the time lately lol.

looks good, did you pull off the wheel weights or anything?
And how long did they take to dry?
sorry for all the questions, but I am contemplating doing this soon

The wheel weights I just left on. I used note cards placed around the rim to keep paint of the tire. As for drying time I waited 20-30 minutes and would do another coat. I did 2-3 coats per room depending on how well I did lol.
