Grote LED taillight conversion

Standing at the heavy truck parts distributer the other afternoon and I noticed they had a small demo set up on the parts counter.

Grote has an LED taillight kit that is the same as we use on our Jeeps through '06

What do you guys think of this. Have any of you done this?

Can you just wire them in our do you have to fart around putting resistors and all that garbage in them?

I really like the looks of these and if anyone else has done it can ya show me some pics?

EDIT: I forgot to mention they were $56.00 for the kit.... I didnt think that was bad at all

Thanks alot
Ty

I have already done this conversion and I love it! Super easy to do just a matter of cutting the old connector off the old lights and putting them on the new ones. Just make sure you have a test light so you can match the right wires up so they do what they are supposed to. No, you do not need a resistor or anything they already have them inside the lights. Here is the picture of what mine look like.

Bumping...has anyone done these?

Blindndyslexic 07-17-2013 03:52 AM

As a matter of fact. I've done this conversion too. Mine were made by pilot but bolted right up, just had to cut the connector off my stock lights. No extra resistors or anything, but I do recommend an electronic flasher fuse.. if you haven't already done that.
